The owner of this beloved craftsman home wanted to add living and guest space, while respecting the original bungalow scale and character within its existing neighborhood. We fully remodeled the existing basement footprint – including digging out an extra 24” of depth. This allowed for full height comfortable living spaces, and ample daylight from new side windows. A bright new enclosed stair column connects the lower level to the main living areas above.

This project was awarded remodel of the year in its category by the Seattle Master Builders Association.
